If you have an education, health and care plan (EHCP)

An EHCP is for young people aged up to 25 who need more support.

Get support from your local council

If you have an EHCP, your local council will offer you lots of help and support, including deciding your next steps in education. This is called the local offer.

Supported internships

A supported internship is an unpaid work-based study programme. It can help you take your first step from education into the workplace while gaining the skills you need to get a paid job.

You need to be aged 16 to 24 and have an EHCP.
